Pastor Andre' A. McGhee

Pastor Andre' A. McGhee was born in Gary, Indiana on April 30, 1969. He is the eldest of four boys born to Sharon McGhee. He is married to his beautiful wife Jennifer, and they are blessed with two children Courtney and Jared.

Pastor McGhee was saved and baptized on July 4, 1982, at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Charles L. Emery. He received his calling into the gospel ministry at the early age of sixteen. Graduating from Roosevelt High in 1988, he furthered his education at American Baptist College in Nashville, Tennessee, where he majored in Biblical and Theological Studies with a minor in Christian Education.

After college in 1992 and under the teaching of Pastor Emery, he became an Associate Minister and Christian Educator at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, assisting the Pastor with mid-week bible classes, and filling in for him as guest preacher when called. Pastor McGhee has preached many revivals and other services at various churches throughout this region.

In March of 1998, Pastor McGhee answered the call to serve as Pastor of Mount Hermon Baptist Church of East Chicago, Indiana. Through his ministry the church grew spiritually, and many lives were transformed by the preaching and teaching of God's word. The ministry was featured on a weekly radio program.

After five and a half years of service to Mount Hermon Baptist Church, the Lord guided his move to South Bend on November 17, 2003, where his ministry began at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church. 

Since answering the call to serve as Pastor/Teacher of Greater St. John, the church has grown numerically,financially, but more importantly spiritually. In addition to Wednesday night Prayer and Bible Study, a noon day Bible Study, and a first Wednesday Unity Prayer meeting has been added which is well attended. Also, a Fun Fair and annual outside "Tent Service" was organized to help spread the gospel to the unsaved in the neighborhood.

Pastor McGhee is affiliated with the Northwestern District Association serving Moderator, the Indiana Missionary Baptist State Convention serving as 1st Vice President, The National Missionary Baptist Convention of America, Inc. and the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of St. Joseph County. He continues to be involved in community activities and is well known around the city.
